As our first Manager, Learning & Development at Flexe, you will lead your team in the design, development and facilitation of a diverse offering of learning & development programs that enable and develop our internal talent.  Reporting to the Director of HR, you will partner closely with peer leaders and clients across the business to define our learning strategy over the next several years of growth. You and your team will create holistic learning programs that develop our current and future leaders personally and professionally through a variety of tools, resources, and programs. You will help prioritize programs that meet our learning needs today as well as build for what we need in the near future. You will be relentless in measuring the value your team delivers, implementing key performance metrics, seeking key data points outside of your team to evaluate change and impact, and communicating to leadership the business impact of our corporate learning programs. You will be an integral thought leader and driver in helping us make Flexe one of the premier companies for attracting, engaging, and developing talent.

What you'll do:

  • Own and dri­ve the strat­e­gy and imple­men­ta­tion plan for the cor­po­rate learn­ing team
  • Man­age, coach, and inspire a high per­form­ing team of learn­ing pro­fes­sion­als, help­ing them achieve and exceed per­for­mance goals and progress in their skill sets to become influ­en­tial busi­ness partners.
  • Con­sult with strate­gic HR Busi­ness Part­ner­ship team and client group lead­ers to assess employ­ee devel­op­ment needs, rec­om­mend appro­pri­ate solu­tions, dri­ve deploy­ment, and mea­sure effectiveness.
  • Part­ner and col­lab­o­rate close­ly with learn­ing teams in Sales Enable­ment and Oper­a­tions to share cor­po­rate learn­ing roadmap, pri­or­i­tize oppor­tu­ni­ties and needs, and lever­age resources across teams.
  • Uti­lize emerg­ing tech­nolo­gies and cre­ative solu­tions to deliv­er holis­tic learn­ing expe­ri­ences to employ­ees at all lev­els of the organization. 
  • As a player/​coach, dri­ve the devel­op­ment and facil­i­ta­tion of our man­ag­er enable­ment pro­grams, includ­ing the design and facil­i­ta­tion of vir­tu­al and on-site pro­grams for new managers.
  • Design and facil­i­tate ongo­ing pro­fes­sion­al devel­op­ment offer­ings tied to key com­pe­ten­cies expect­ed at Flexe (work­shops, microlearn­ings, job aids, etc)
  • Devel­op and man­age your team’s KPIs, mon­i­tor work-back plans and mile­stones, com­mu­ni­cate risks or obsta­cles as appro­pri­ate, repri­or­i­tize projects or resources as need­ed, and esca­late changes and issues quick­ly to key stakeholders.
  • Cham­pi­on Flexe’s Diver­si­ty, Equi­ty and Inclu­sion com­mit­ments, ensur­ing your team’s sup­port fur­ther our DE&I ini­tia­tives in all learn­ing touchpoints. 
  • Sup­port broad­er HR team as need­ed on large employ­ee life­cy­cle ini­tia­tives by devel­op­ing and curat­ing tools, resources, and cours­es to sup­port employ­ees and the business.

Does this sound like you?

  • Min­i­mum 10 years of work expe­ri­ence in HR, Learn­ing or relat­ed field
  • – Min­i­mum of 7 years of expe­ri­ence in cor­po­rate Learn­ing & Devel­op­ment roles
  • – Min­i­mum of 3 years of direct man­age­ment expe­ri­ence, with at least 2 years lead­ing L&D with­in a fast mov­ing Tech company
  • Sig­nif­i­cant expe­ri­ence devel­op­ing and lead­ing large scale learn­ing solu­tions, and rapid e‑learning and hybrid course development
  • Sig­nif­i­cant expe­ri­ence eval­u­at­ing devel­op­ment pro­grams with an abil­i­ty to iden­ti­fy and present data-dri­ven insights and trends to show­case the impact learn­ing has on busi­ness outcomes
  • Strong facil­i­ta­tion skills from front­line employ­ees to exec­u­tive learners
  • Pro­fi­cient in L&D tech­nol­o­gy tools, LMS, CMS, and relat­ed author­ing tools
  • Com­mit­ment to cre­ative prob­lem solv­ing and sys­tems think­ing with a pas­sion for try­ing new technologies
  • Excep­tion­al writ­ten, ver­bal, and inter­per­son­al com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills across all lev­els of leadership
  • Moti­vat­ed in the face of com­plex­i­ty and ambi­gu­i­ty and able to inspire their team to use an oppor­tu­ni­ty mind­set vs a scarci­ty mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expe­ri­ence devel­op­ing and dri­ving strate­gic learn­ing roadmap strong­ly preferred
  • Master’s degree in Edu­ca­tion, HR, I/O Psy­chol­o­gy, Orga­ni­za­tion Behav­ior, Orga­ni­za­tion Devel­op­ment, or relat­ed field or equiv­a­lent experience
  • Expe­ri­ence in logis­tics, sup­ply chain, or trans­porta­tion desired
  • Expe­ri­ence using G‑Suite, Slack, Artic­u­late 360 (Rise and Sto­ry­line), Cor­ner­stone LMS
  • Cer­ti­fi­ca­tions in IDI, DiSC, Strengths Find­er, Thomas Kil­man Con­flict Mod­el, Cru­cial Con­ver­sa­tions, or oth­er frame­works helpful
