Principal Solutions Analyst

Responsibilities

Scop­ing
• Part­ner with the com­mer­cial own­er and client via email, phone, or in per­son to con­firm the project scope and iden­ti­fy client needs and appro­pri­ate solu­tion options.
• Review and com­plete scope doc­u­ments to ful­ly doc­u­ment cus­tomer requirements.
• Design end-to-end sys­tem process­es to ensure com­mon under­stand­ing of cus­tomer design and tech­ni­cal require­ments pri­or to implementation.
• Pro­vide guid­ance on par­cel ship­ping options to cus­tomers and our inter­nal team. 
• Part­ner with the Indus­tri­al Engi­neer­ing team to ensure phys­i­cal lay­out and equip­ment design will meet cus­tomer through­put requirements.
• Prompt­ly esca­late risk and com­ply with scope change con­trol procedures. 


Prod­uct Expert
• Become an expert in Flexe’s pro­pri­etary logis­tics soft­ware offer­ings, includ­ing: con­fig­u­ra­tion require­ments, billing func­tion­al­i­ty, trans­porta­tion capa­bil­i­ties, and integration.
• Part­ner with Flexe prod­uct man­agers and mon­i­tor the Flexe prod­uct roadmap to ensure new prod­ucts are lever­aged suc­cess­ful­ly to win new revenue.
• Iden­ti­fy poten­tial prod­uct gaps in WMS soft­ware and part­ner with Flexe prod­uct and soft­ware devel­op­ers to deter­mine if new tech­nol­o­gy can be built in the required client time­line. Includes:
• Doc­u­ment­ing func­tion­al requirements.
• Review­ing and pro­vid­ing feed­back on user expe­ri­ence for new technology.
• Receiv­ing devel­op­ment esti­mates and com­par­ing against the cus­tomer’s scoped timeline.
• Demo Flexe soft­ware to senior mem­bers of poten­tial clients or ware­hous­es to demon­strate the Flexe val­ue propo­si­tions and how Flexe would con­fig­ure and deploy our soft­ware to meet their needs.
• Part­ners with Tech­ni­cal Project Man­agers and Inte­gra­tion Ana­lysts to ensure busi­ness require­ments of a client are met and deliv­ered by the devel­op­ment teams.


Com­mer­cial Support
• Pro­vide guid­ance to Busi­ness Devel­op­ment which FLEXE pric­ing levers are appro­pri­ate for the solution.
• Com­mu­ni­cate rel­e­vant scope changes that impact pric­ing back to the Busi­ness Devel­op­ment team. 


Imple­men­ta­tion
• Pro­vide sup­port to the project imple­men­ta­tion team to ensure cus­tomer require­ments are imple­ment­ed successfully.
• Ensure any scope changes that are dis­cov­ered dur­ing launch are account­ed for and doc­u­ment­ed in the final solu­tion design.
• Trav­el to sup­port launch­es with com­plex designs or new software.
• Lead­er­ship
• Pro­vide men­tor­ship to junior Flexe team members.
• Pro­vide indus­try exper­tise and thought lead­er­ship to the tech­ni­cal team to sup­port the design and devel­op­ment of high qual­i­ty logis­tics solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Indus­tri­al Engi­neer­ing or oth­er tech­ni­cal field
• 10 – 15 years expe­ri­ence man­ag­ing or design­ing a ware­house operation
• Pri­or expe­ri­ence in a solu­tions design role for a 3PL.
• At least 8 years expe­ri­ence with WMS or OMS soft­ware; con­fig­ur­ing, trou­bleshoot­ing, test­ing, using or sup­port­ing the software.
• Expe­ri­ence with ware­house IT inte­gra­tions and solu­tions design.
• Proven expe­ri­ence iden­ti­fy­ing needs and design­ing WMS fea­tures to meet client requirements.
• Project man­age­ment expe­ri­ence, work­ing on mul­ti­ple projects at once, coor­di­nat­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tion, esca­lat­ing risk and changes.
• Expe­ri­ence work­ing in a sales envi­ron­ment, either in direct sales or as a tech­ni­cal sales expert preferred.
• Expe­ri­ence work­ing with both LTL and Par­cel trans­porta­tion com­pa­nies preferred.
• Strong quan­ti­ta­tive data analy­sis and crit­i­cal think­ing skills.
• Abil­i­ty to trav­el up to 15%
• Must be autho­rized to work in the US with­out restric­tion. We will not be spon­sor­ing visas for this role at this time.
