We are looking for a strong Billing Analyst to support monthly billing activities and drive improvement in the billing reporting process.  Reporting to the Director of Revenue Operations, this role will be accountable for the quality and accuracy of our billing data and having a deep understanding of our product, business and operations. The ideal candidate has exceptional analytical, communication, and technical skills. Candidates should possess a natural curiosity for technology and drive to build out our business and billing reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Deeply under­stand our ware­hous­ing plat­form, its data mod­el and how we bill our cus­tomers based on ware­house activity.
  • Write SQL queries to obtain the source data need­ed to gen­er­ate invoice calculations.
  • Under­stand and pro­vide detailed report­ing to ensure our bills are accurate.
  • Devel­op cus­tom billing reports for cus­tomers based on the solu­tion design and unique cus­tomer needs.
  • Part­ner with Sales, Solu­tions, and Engi­neer­ing teams to devel­op billing meth­ods that meet vary­ing cus­tomer needs and iden­ti­fy oppor­tu­ni­ties to improve billing accuracy.
  • Review oth­ers’ work for accu­ra­cy, scal­a­bil­i­ty, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as an ana­lyst with hands-on expe­ri­ence using analytical/​statistical methods.
  • An under­stand­ing of BI solu­tions best prac­tices, data source, inges­tion, stor­age, analy­sis and visualization.
  • High­ly ana­lyt­i­cal and proven abil­i­ty to solve prob­lems with no instruc­tion on day-to-day work and col­lab­o­rate on meth­ods and pro­ce­dures for new assignments.
  • Proven abil­i­ty to man­age your work­load, orga­nize and pri­or­i­tize tasks, and clear­ly com­mu­ni­cate status.
  • Strong rela­tion­al data­base back­ground with hands-on expe­ri­ence build­ing reports and dash­boards. Flu­ent in SQL and able to per­form com­plex joins and aggregations.
  • Pre­ferred tool set: SQL, Look­er, Excel, Jira, Con­flu­ence, Metabase, Python, Git and oth­er Busi­ness Intel­li­gence tools.
  • Pre­fer bachelor’s degree in Com­put­er Sci­ence, Math­e­mat­ics, Sta­tis­tics, Applied Math­e­mat­ics, Engi­neer­ing, Busi­ness or relat­ed experience.
