As our first Manager, Learning & Development at Flexe, you will lead your team in the design, development and facilitation of a diverse offering of learning & development programs that enable and develop our internal talent. Reporting to the Director of HR, you will partner closely with peer leaders and clients across the business to define our learning strategy over the next several years of growth. You and your team will create holistic learning programs that develop our current and future leaders personally and professionally through a variety of tools, resources, and programs. You will help prioritize programs that meet our learning needs today as well as build for what we need in the near future. You will be relentless in measuring the value your team delivers, implementing key performance metrics, seeking key data points outside of your team to evaluate change and impact, and communicating to leadership the business impact of our corporate learning programs. You will be an integral thought leader and driver in helping us make Flexe one of the premier companies for attracting, engaging, and developing talent.
What you'll do:
- Own and drive the strategy and implementation plan for the corporate learning team
- Manage, coach, and inspire a high performing team of learning professionals, helping them achieve and exceed performance goals and progress in their skill sets to become influential business partners.
- Consult with strategic HR Business Partnership team and client group leaders to assess employee development needs, recommend appropriate solutions, drive deployment, and measure effectiveness.
- Partner and collaborate closely with learning teams in Sales Enablement and Operations to share corporate learning roadmap, prioritize opportunities and needs, and leverage resources across teams.
- Utilize emerging technologies and creative solutions to deliver holistic learning experiences to employees at all levels of the organization.
- As a player/coach, drive the development and facilitation of our manager enablement programs, including the design and facilitation of virtual and on-site programs for new managers.
- Design and facilitate ongoing professional development offerings tied to key competencies expected at Flexe (workshops, microlearnings, job aids, etc)
- Develop and manage your team’s KPIs, monitor work-back plans and milestones, communicate risks or obstacles as appropriate, reprioritize projects or resources as needed, and escalate changes and issues quickly to key stakeholders.
- Champion Flexe’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments, ensuring your team’s support further our DE&I initiatives in all learning touchpoints.
- Support broader HR team as needed on large employee lifecycle initiatives by developing and curating tools, resources, and courses to support employees and the business.
Does this sound like you?
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in HR, Learning or related field
- – Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate Learning & Development roles
- – Minimum of 3 years of direct management experience, with at least 2 years leading L&D within a fast moving Tech company
- Significant experience developing and leading large scale learning solutions, and rapid e‑learning and hybrid course development
- Significant experience evaluating development programs with an ability to identify and present data-driven insights and trends to showcase the impact learning has on business outcomes
- Strong facilitation skills from frontline employees to executive learners
- Proficient in L&D technology tools, LMS, CMS, and related authoring tools
- Commitment to creative problem solving and systems thinking with a passion for trying new technologies
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills across all levels of leadership
- Motivated in the face of complexity and ambiguity and able to inspire their team to use an opportunity mindset vs a scarcity mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing and driving strategic learning roadmap strongly preferred
- Master’s degree in Education, HR, I/O Psychology, Organization Behavior, Organization Development, or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation desired
- Experience using G‑Suite, Slack, Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline), Cornerstone LMS
- Certifications in IDI, DiSC, Strengths Finder, Thomas Kilman Conflict Model, Crucial Conversations, or other frameworks helpful
