We are looking for a Market Manager who will focus on building in-market warehouse partnerships, driving those partners to proposals on Flexe’s client projects, and managing our existing network in the greater Seattle market. The Market Manager will own and develop a geographic market in support of Flexe client needs for quality flexible fulfillment and logistics. The Manager will work creatively to unlock distribution and fulfillment capacity in order to deliver on the “never full” commitment of our network. The Director will own all facets of partner success in their assigned market.

Responsibilities

  • Mar­ket Development:
  • Iden­ti­fy, and devel­op pur­suit strate­gies for ware­hous­ing operators.
  • Net­work­ing with 3P ware­hous­ing providers to evan­ge­lize the Flexe val­ue propo­si­tion to poten­tial part­ners to bring addi­tion­al capac­i­ty online.
  • Exe­cute upon pur­suit strate­gies by approach­ing, edu­cat­ing about Flexe pro­grams, and onboard­ing ware­house oper­at­ing part­ners to the Flexe network.
  • Man­age­ment of ter­ri­to­ry health and capac­i­ty lev­els rel­a­tive to Flexe sales and growth targets.
  • Act as local mar­ket expert inform­ing the orga­ni­za­tion of any changes in mar­ket con­di­tions that would impact com­pa­ny goals or client needs.

  • Part­ner Qual­i­fi­ca­tion Audits & Onboarding: 
  • Per­form­ing site val­i­da­tion audits to review part­ner fit for inclu­sion in the Flexe net­work and provider readi­ness to han­dle pro­grams includ­ing retail com­pli­ance, each picks and medi­um com­plex­i­ty eCommerce.
  • In-depth assess­ment of facil­i­ty qual­i­ty and secu­ri­ty for Flexe Programs
  • Onboard­ing respon­si­bil­i­ties include: edu­ca­tion on Flexe Pro­grams and use cas­es, con­tract­ing method and com­mer­cial mod­el, technology/​product func­tion­al­i­ty, sales engage­ments, oper­at­ing and facil­i­ty require­ments, imple­men­ta­tion best prac­tices, etc.

  • Mar­ket Main­te­nance & Part­ner Management: 
  • Mon­i­tor­ing space avail­abil­i­ty and cap­tur­ing facil­i­ty attrib­ut­es in his or her mar­ket to assure capac­i­ty to meet future demand. 
  • Mon­i­tor­ing provider KPIs reg­u­lar­ly to assure assigned sites are per­form­ing at or above standard. 
  • Per­form­ing reg­u­lar check-ins and larg­er QBRs with oper­a­tor partners. 
  • Work­ing with below stan­dard sites on reme­di­a­tion plans to bring per­for­mance in line with SLAs.
  • Devel­op strong under­stand­ing of part­ner capa­bil­i­ties includ­ing: under­stand­ing areas of client and ver­ti­cal exper­tise, growth strate­gies and goals, orga­ni­za­tion­al struc­tures, engage­ment paths, and space availability. 
  • Devel­op­ing and grow­ing rela­tion­ships with our 3PL partners. 
  • Col­lect cost­ing infor­ma­tion (space and labor) in a stan­dard­ized way across the mar­ket to sup­port Flexe mar­ket intelligence. 

  • Engage­ment in Sup­port of Deal Flow:
  • Respon­si­bil­i­ty for rep­re­sent­ing Flexe’s ser­vice offer­ings on the ware­house part­ner side of client sales and growth opportunities. 
  • Part­ner­ship with Flexe’s Busi­ness Devel­op­ment and Account Man­age­ment teams on client oppor­tu­ni­ties, as rep­re­sen­ta­tive of local ware­house network.
  • Deliv­er on Flexe rev­enue tar­gets and new client acqui­si­tion goals. 
  • Find solu­tions and deliv­er pro­pos­als with­in the local ware­house net­work for clients.
  • Pro­vide busi­ness devel­op­ment sup­port for Flexe ware­house part­ners. Spe­cif­ic respon­si­bil­i­ties include: 
  • Assess­ment of demand side deal placement/​matching to Flexe net­work part­ner avail­abil­i­ty and capability.
  • Engage­ment with Flexe ware­house oper­at­ing part­ners for oppor­tu­ni­ty review and assess­ment of fit.
  • Facil­i­ta­tion of ware­house oper­a­tor meet­ings and site vis­its, both remote and on-site.
  • Ongo­ing facil­i­ta­tion of oper­a­tional scope reviews, ser­vice lev­el def­i­n­i­tion, pricing. 
  • Pro­vide ongo­ing and on-site sup­port to Flexe ware­house oper­at­ing part­ners to ensure suc­cess­ful kick-offs through imple­men­ta­tion and go-live.

  • Cross Func­tion­al Support:
  • Own­er­ship of res­o­lu­tion for esca­la­tions regard­ing ware­house part­ners from Oper­a­tions and Account Management.
  • Sup­port­ing client onboard­ings as needed. 
  • Ongo­ing edu­ca­tion on the fea­tures avail­able to ware­house part­ners with­in the Flexe platform/​systems.
  • Oth­er spe­cial projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equiv­a­lent com­bi­na­tion of edu­ca­tion and experience
  • 3+ years expe­ri­ence in Solu­tions Man­age­ment and/​or Oper­a­tions Man­age­ment in 3rd par­ty logis­tics busi­ness required
  • Expe­ri­ence in Sales and/​or Client Man­age­ment preferred
  • Knowl­edge of dis­tri­b­u­tion and ful­fill­ment oper­a­tions required
  • Abil­i­ty to cred­i­bly inter­face with ware­house part­ners on a tactical/​operational level
  • Expe­ri­ence in account man­age­ment includ­ing run­ning QBRs, and involve­ment in secu­ri­ty and oper­a­tional audits preferred
  • Expe­ri­ence with 3PL ser­vices agree­ments, pro­cure­ment and nego­ti­a­tions preferred
  • Pro­fi­cien­cy in Office, prin­ci­pal­ly Excel and Pow­er­Point or Google suite prin­ci­pal­ly Sheets and Slides
  • Expe­ri­ence with WMS, ERP and TMS sys­tems required
  • Demon­strat­ed suc­cess in col­lab­o­rat­ing with mul­ti­ple stake­hold­ers inter­nal­ly and externally
  • Able to trav­el up to 50%
  • Must be autho­rized to work in the US with­out restric­tion. We will not be spon­sor­ing visas for this role at this time
  • This is a ful­ly remote posi­tion, based in the greater Mid-Atlantic or SE market.
